In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Your status
You are a self-employed worker or an independent business. Qlyp acts as a dispatcher: it offers you rides, calculates prices, collects payments, and pays out your earnings. You remain free to log on, decline an offer, and work with other platforms.
2. Requirements to drive
- Provide and keep valid all documents required by law and for each service: driver's licence and SAAQ authorizations for remunerated passenger transportation, vehicle attestation, registration, insurance, criminal background check, and, depending on the service, permits specific to towing, adapted transportation, or limousine service.
- Each document is submitted once; you are notified before it expires. An expired document suspends the services that depend on it.
- Complete the vehicle inspection in the app before going online.
- Identity verification: a selfie may be requested at registration and occasionally thereafter; it is reviewed by our team, without automatic facial recognition.
- Have an active Stripe payout account.
3. Receiving rides
- You receive only rides for the services your vehicle is approved for, that you have selected, in your zones.
- A direct offer remains displayed for a few seconds; you can accept it or let it pass. Client price offers appear in the "Market" feed, where you can accept, counter-offer, or pass.
- In airport or train station zones, a first-come, first-served queue applies.
- Our team may assign or remove a ride from you to resolve an issue, without penalty to you.
- Assignment is automatic (proximity, approved vehicle, rating, favourites); you may request the information that was used.
4. During the ride
- Enter the passenger's boarding code before departing.
- Comply with the Highway Safety Code and do not use the app while driving (except features designed for driving, such as Android Auto).
- Respect the indicated needs (child seat, pet, mobility assistance), without discrimination or harassment.
- Calls and messages go through Qlyp's masked numbers; do not request or retain the client's contact information.
- In an emergency, call 911. The app's SOS button can also alert your emergency contacts and Qlyp's team; it does not replace emergency services.
5. Earnings, fees, and taxes
- Each ride displays your net earnings before you accept it, and a detailed breakdown after: price, platform fee, CTQ levy, GST and QST, tip.
- The platform fee is the one displayed in the app at the time of acceptance.
- Daily payout to your Stripe account. Tips are 100% yours.
- Rides paid directly to the driver: fees owed to Qlyp accumulate as a balance; beyond the threshold displayed in the app, your account is restricted until settlement.
- Taxes: you are responsible for your tax obligations (provincial sales tax registration, returns, and remittances), for Qlyp as for your other activities. Qlyp provides you with a per-ride statement, a monthly report, and the required tax slips.
6. Qlyp Route (intercity ridesharing)
For ridesharing between cities, you share your costs within the per-kilometre amount displayed; this is not remunerated transportation and you keep 100% of the passengers' contributions.
7. Ratings, suspension, and termination
- Passengers rate you after each ride; an average rating that is too low over a given period may lead to a warning and then a suspension, based on the thresholds displayed in the app.
- Qlyp may suspend access in the event of an expired document, a serious complaint, fraud, or breach of these terms; you are notified with the reason and may request a review.
- You may stop using Qlyp at any time.
8. Personal information
Your documents and information are processed in accordance with Qlyp's privacy policy.
9. Governing law
The laws of Québec and Canada apply; the French text prevails.
